The term "development" often neglected the word sustainable. In other words, most of the development usually left out the fundamental of another element of development which is, Sustainability. One of the definitions of “Sustainable Development” was precisely defined by Bruntland (2011) "Sustainable development is development that meets the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs. This has presented in various literature review such as Hungtinton, (2008) in his theoretical framework of Political Development. Sustainable development simple means, a continuous development and progression embodied in the development. In the relations to this paper, the main objective is to understand the sustainable education in terms food in secondary school specifically school in Kuala Lumpur. In Malaysia blueprint education report for 2013, it has outlined several strategies in improving Malaysian education system towards sustainable education. Strategic reforms in choosing the best teacher which said only 30% will be chosen to be granted teacher as profession. Besides that, teacher will reduce administrative works and focus more on teaching. In terms of food and nutrient education Poh Bee Kon (2005) mentioned, there are nutrient education in the books of Physical and Health and natural sciences text books, such as Chemistry which is taught in English and Malay.
Defining food politics in Malaysia might seem to be problematic since food is not the main concerns in Malaysia. Unlike the United States (US), food policies are different from political party. From the definition of politics of Harold Laswell (1978)"who gets what and how". The core of Food Politics is to analyze the government structure in controlling food in secondary school. Even though, obviously the ministry of health and ministry of education are combining their efforts in escalating food policy, nevertheless, with our basic assumption, the policy itself is not sufficed. Therefore, with the help of several civil society such as Consumer Associate Penang (CAP) Slow Food Movement, Permalculture, Foot Not Bombs, and etc and try to counter balance on what exactly "nutrient" needed by the student in their daily consumption. Based on Nutrient report on 2005 by Ministry of education, it has outlined several guidelines in producing kind of nutrient that required and consumed by the secondary student. In addition to the food nutrient outlined, it has several civil society has been working together to promote the kind of food that should be consumed by the student.
